Our Promise
Create opportunity
We create opportunities for women to engage on their terms with incredible companies that need their talent and expertise. We facilitate connections and push for change at both the company and policy level.
Unlock insights
We have developed a people-first, research-based approach to mining workplace insights, allowing companies to understand how to best support working parents through innovative policies and improving best practices.
Inspire community
Our community for working moms (a.k.a. all moms!) allows women to support each other, connect to career goal support and gain access to the resources needed to thrive in their personal working parenthood journey. #allmomswork
The Momifesto
At The Mom Project, we believe in the power of mom.
Diverse. Talented. Committed. Moms are a force–a workforce. And their moment is now.
We're creating a future of work that works for everyone. Where mom's potential is realized.
Smart companies know the truth: That moms take care of business and beyond.
That no two careers look the same. That parenting skills sharpen business skills.
We champion this change. We celebrate this mindset. Because we know that when
mom thrives, families thrive, business thrives, society thrives…
And things change. For the better.
Origin story
An estimated 43% of highly skilled women leave the workforce after becoming mothers. This is the jarring statistic I read while on maternity leave from Procter & Gamble with my first child. I started to imagine a future where women would not have to choose between parenthood and their careers, and I could not stop thinking about what a real solution might look like. Inspired by the birth of my first son and on behalf of moms everywhere, I founded The Mom Project in 2016.
More than one million American women will become parents this year, joining the ranks of working parenthood—a vital segment of the workforce. Simultaneously, businesses are challenged to retain talented employees as they navigate through this period of life and struggle to find the experienced talent they need to grow. The Mom Project bridges the gap, creating opportunities for companies and professionals to grow and thrive.
With over 1.7 million talented professionals in our network and over 20,000 companies signed up to hire moms to drive their businesses forward…we’re just getting started.
Will you be part of The Mom Project's story to build a better workplace? I sincerely hope so.
