RISE is a scholarship upskilling certification program designed to center moms and women of color, and reach those who are traditionally underrepresented in the workforce. We are here to challenge stereotypes and create access to advancement in one’s career by harnessing the power of community and support - in six months or less, and at no cost to participants!
The RISE program is open to anyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, or race. There is no requirement to be a caregiver, all are welcome to apply.
Currently, we offer seven certification tracks, Google IT Support Professional, Google IT Automation with Python, Google Project Management, Google Data Analytics, Google UX Design, Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce, and Trailhead Virtual Bootcamp for Administrators (Salesforce). The trailhead certification is 6 weeks in length and the Google certifications take up to 6 months to complete. Please find the program application here.
The RISE program hosts community events and provides professional support in optimizing your resume, LinkedIn profile, interview prep, and more. We’ll also connect you to knowledgeable speakers and professionals in relevant fields to add to your educational experience. Once your certification is complete our team will assist with job search support and provide pathways to our diverse network of companies that value you, your experience, your career, and your family.
No prior experience or degree is required to successfully be accepted into the program, or complete any of the certification tracks.

Certification programs work with your demanding schedule, as they can be completed at your own pace but must be completed within six months of your start date. We ask that you are able to dedicate 10-15 hours per week to complete the program.
The program is entirely at no cost to participants.
Currently, we offer only one RISE scholarship per person. Additionally, we recommend candidates focus on one upskilling course at a time to be sure they have the bandwidth to complete the course successfully.
RISE program participants must be a United States citizen or be authorized to work in the United States.
Yes, the RISE program’s upskilling certifications help talent reskill and upskill to meet the demands of the rapidly growing and changing needs of the tech industry.
The RISE program resources and community are only available to those who are or have actively been enrolled in one of our certification programs. However, stay connected with MomProject.org on LinkedIn for the latest program information and some community events open to everyone.
There is no contractual obligation for participants in the RISE program. We ask for a good faith commitment to complete your upskilling certification and keep an open line of communication with our partners at CareerCircle and the MomProject.org team in reporting your progress, accomplishments, and any struggles. Life happens, and we understand that sometimes candidates may not be able to complete their certification at the pace they’d like. Candidates are never financially responsible for the certification.
